Face 2 Face is a network of trained volunteer befrienders who can help parents make positive adjustments to the news that their child has a disability. Every Face 2 Face befriender is a parent too – someone whose own child has a disability. They know what it’s like to cope with a new diagnosis and can offer support parent-to-parent.

We help to increase the confidence and independence of families by: Visiting families in their own homes to offer support, friendship and practical assistance, Reassuring parents that their childcare problems are not unusual or unique, Encouraging parents' strengths and emotional well-being for the ultimate benefit of their children and trying to get the fun back into family life. Our volunteers, who have parenting experience themselves, can offer: Precious time for listening and talking, Help with the children, A break for parents, Practical help and reassurance, A chance to meet other parents in the same boat and Support to use local services and resources

Staffordshire Mental Health Helpline

Outside of this time a message can be left which the call team will reply to within 24 hours. A caring, highly skilled and dedicated team, who provide emotional support, independent information and impartial advice, staff the lines. The service is free to call from UK landlines and mobiles.
