Sharpe's Pottery

South Derbyshire's AWARD WINNING VISITOR EXPERIENCE opened January 2003, offering Pottery Museum around Bottle Kiln, Conference Room with facilities, Superb Event venue and Coffee Shop. Sharpe's has established itself as a civic amenity and concerts are held in the atmospheric Bottle Kiln, with its wonderful acoustics.

Claymills Pumping Station

The main pumping plant at Claymills consists of four Woolf compound, rotative, beam pumping engines. These are arranged in mirror image pairs, in two separate engine houses, with a central boiler house and chimney. The engines were built in 1885 by Gimson and Company of Leicester.

Tutbury Castle

Stuated in a commanding position, above Tutbury, the castle regularly holds weddings and specialist tours and education facilities, including ghost tours. There is a cafe and the castle is open for individual visits.
